ABOUT THE COUNCIL:

The City of Parramatta Council is located 24 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD and provides a range of goods and services within a local government area (LGA) encompassing some 82 square kilometres and comprises a population of approximately 257,000 people from a range of diverse cultures, lifestyles and experiences

ABOUT THE TENDER:   

Parramatta City Council invites tenders from accredited and suitably experienced contractors
for the Disposal of Waste & Recyclable Materials, including but not limited to:   
        
           General Solid Waste (Putrescible & Non-Putrescible) Recyclables

• Garden waste
• Paper & Cardboard
• Street sweepings
• Building and demolition waste
• Mixed metal items

         
           Special Waste

• Asbestos waste
• Liquid waste
• Hazardous waste

A description of the range of materials to be removed, with Specification of work required, 
and approximate quantity and frequency of removal / disposal are given in the Specification 
section contained within this ITT and Annexure A.

The responsibilities under this Contract includes provision of all labor, supervision, equipment, plant, transportation, traffic control (if required), tipping costs and all services required to complete the work, all in accordance with the relevant legislation and Australian Standards. All work performed under this Contract shall be in conformity and in accordance with and subject to the specifications and the agreement and other documents attached by specific reference to these conditions.
The Contract, for which a tender in accordance with these Contract Documents is invited, is a Schedule of Rates. The period of the tender is for three (3) years with an option of 2 x 1 year extensions at Council's discretion. Continuance of the tender for the initial and subsequent periods will be reliant on ongoing reliability and satisfactory performance which will be subject to quarterly review.

Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box (see TenderLink) or in a sealed envelope and endorsed with the tender title, number, and closing date, and placed in the Tender Box located at City of Parramatta Council’s Customer Services Centre, Ground Floor, 126 Church Street, Parramatta NSW 2150 by 10.00am  Friday 16th of April 2021. 

CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Tenders close at 10.00am, Friday 16th of April 2021 and submissions must be fully received by this time. The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted, and any action or contact that may be considered as an attempt to influence a decision of Councillors or Staff shall disqualify the relevant tender. Late, verbal or emailed submissions will not be accepted.
