Born and raised locally in Harris Park, Martin and his wife Carmen are proud parents of three young children. Family is an integral part of both Martin and Carmen’s life and they strive to ensure that their children experience all the great opportunities that our community has to offer.
Martin attended school locally at St Oliver’s Primary school, Harris Park and Parramatta Marist High, Westmead. Following on from high school, Martin graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor degree of Taxation Law. Martin is currently a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a qualified financial planner.
Like many Australians, Martin operates his own small business in Parramatta, a chartered accounting practice where he specialises in helping locals grow their businesses and manage their taxes. Prior to accepting his partnership role in 2009, he worked in the professional services sector for over 8 years, having previously been employed as a business services consultant, an auditor of local government councils, and most recently, a tax and legal manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Having been involved in the Parramatta community his entire life; Martin wants to see families in our community get ahead. That’s why Martin chose to run for council; to use his experience in small business to be a strong, effective advocate for local families and businesses.
