Skate, eat and play at Winterlight, where magic happens

Winterlight brings 17 days of magical winter fun to the picturesque heritage grounds of Prince Alfred Square in Parramatta from 30 June to 16 July 2017.

Test your moves on the SmoothFM Ice Rink, the largest open-air rink in Sydney.

Nestled alongside is the kid’s rink - perfect for little ones new to skating - and with undercover seating it offers a dedicated environment for younger children to take to the ice.

Enjoy an epic snow fight in the new snow play area, which features beautiful light animations at St Patrick's Cathedral as part of the Light Up St Pat's projections.

Away from the ice, you can soar to new heights on the illuminated ferris wheel and discover a unique view of our city.

Whether you're after a social lunch under the winter sun or a cosy dinner with the family, sample a range of comforting European-inspired winter fare in the alpine food village.

Warm up with some homemade soup from The Soupman, indulge in Italian pizza by YouPizza, German hot dogs, or an old favourite, Turkish Gozleme. Finish up with a hot chocolate or mouth-watering treats from Parramatta-favourite Adora Handmade Chocolates and Dutch Poffertjes.

Take a family selfie in the Winter Garden or let your little ones have a go at the range of free kid’s workshops cookie decorating, arts and crafts, theatre and drama classes, and more.

Those after a little more action can experience the vintage rides, or test their tobogganing skills on the 28m long ice slide, unique to Winterlight.

Weekends provide even more excitement with ice shows, a circus playground, appearances from roving entertainers as well as theme night Wednesdays, and a DJ on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights to add to the experience.

Get right into the winter vibe with 2 for 1 Tuesdays where you can enjoy two for one deals between 11am and 4pm on ice skating tickets, amusement rides and food.

With so much on offer for all to enjoy, Winterlight is the place to be these July school holidays.

Winterlight is presented by City of Parramatta with the support of Media Partner Channel Nine, Event Partner SmoothFM and Accommodation Partner Novotel Parramatta.
