Sydney Symphony Under the Stars has long been one of Sydney Festival’s most popular and widely anticipated events. And even though the world is a different place now, this fabulous outdoor concert of the greatest, most moving and most loved symphonic music will be as spectacular as ever.
Conductor Benjamin Northey takes up the baton once more for a program ranging from the classics of the 18th and 19th centuries to the great film scores of the 20th century. And nothing – not even a global pandemic – will silence the famous cannons of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture!
Your safety and comfort is paramount and social distancing protocols will be in place at The Crescent in Parramatta Park, but there’s nothing to stop you bringing your picnic hamper, unfurling a rug, sitting with your favourite people and celebrating the Sydney summer in style.
Sydney Symphony Under the Stars remains a free event, however to aid COVID safety it is now ticketed and all attendees will be required to book a ticket in advance. Tickets will be released in the first week of January. Register your interest to be notified when tickets are released in January.
