World Wetlands Day

World Wetlands Day is celebrated internationally each year on February 2, which marks the International Convention on the Wise Use of Wetlands (known as the Ramsar Convention, signed in the Iranian city of Ramsar in 1971). Its purpose is to raise public awareness of the values and benefits of wetlands and to promote conservation efforts on a global scale.

The 2023 theme is ‘It’s time for wetland Restoration’. Take part in the global celebration #WorldWetlandsDay with one of these activities:
