NAIDOC Schools Project
Applications for this year's NAIDOC theme "Our Languages Matter" open on Monday 3 April 2017 and close Friday 23 June 2017 at 5pm.
The City of Parramatta provides a small annual round of grants to support local schools, incorporated P&C groups and childcare centres to organise local NAIDOC events that celebrate local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their cultures and unique place in Australian society.
- Meet the National NAIDOC Week aims/objectives - recognising the past and present contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people and culture
- Have a focus on ATSI cultures, arts and other aspects of ATSI life
- Where possible, the activity should involve local Darug people/organisations or a local Parramatta ATSI organisation or person
- Must take place during a specified time of the year.
Applicants must complete a NAIDOC Schools Project Application form using SmartyGrants. This online application process requires a one-time registration - your login can be used again for subsequent fund applications.
