NAIDOC Schools Project
Applications for this year's NAIDOC theme "Because of her, we can" open on Tuesday 01 May 2018 and close Friday 22 June 2018 at 5pm
The City of Parramatta provides a small annual round of grants to support local schools, incorporated P&C groups and childcare centres to organise local NAIDOC events that celebrate local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their cultures and unique place in Australian society.
- Meet the National NAIDOC Week aims/objectives - recognising the past and present contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people and culture and this year’s theme
- Have a focus on ATSI cultures, arts and other aspects of ATSI life
- Where possible, the activity should involve local Darug people/organisations or a local Parramatta ATSI organisation or person
- Must take place during a specified time of the year.
Applicants must complete a NAIDOC Schools Project Application form using SmartyGrants. This online application process requires a one-time registration - your login can be used again for subsequent fund applications.
If you have any questions, please contact the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Development Officer on 9806 5385 or visit NAIDOC.
