NAIDOC Schools Project


The City of Parramatta provides a small annual round of grants to support local schools, incorporated P&C groups and childcare centres to organise local NAIDOC events that celebrate local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, their cultures and unique place in Australian society.

Applications for this year's theme 2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages open on Monday 27 May at 9am and close Friday 28 June 2019 at 5pm

CRITERIA

  • Have a focus on the International Year of Indigenous Languages by recognising, celebrating and promoting Indigenous Languages and more specifically the Darug Language
  • Where possible, the activity should involve local Darug people/organisations or a local Parramatta ATSI organisation or person
  • Must take place during a specified time of the year.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applicants must complete a NAIDOC Schools Project Application form using SmartyGrants. This online application process requires a one-time registration - your login can be used again for subsequent fund applications.
