(Back to top)Opened in 2018 next to the Epping YMCA, the park offers passive recreation such as:
- walking
- jogging
- picnic activities
- skateboarding
- basketball
- tennis
- multiple play spaces
Synthetic sports fields
A key feature of West Epping Park is the two synthetic sport fields—the first for the City of Parramatta Council.
The fields can be booked for soccer in winter and for cricket in summer.
Winter season
In winter (April to August) the fields have football posts and line marking for:
- 1 senior field (100 x 65 metres)
- 1 junior field (70 x 43 metres)
Summer season
A cricket pitch is available from September to March.
Conditions
We hope you enjoy your time using the West Epping Park synthetic sporting fields, to maximise the use and performance of the fields, visitors and users are required to abide by the following conditions:
- no smoking
- no chewing gum
- no food and drinks other than water
- no glass or sharp objects
- no BBQs/ fires
- no dogs/ animals
- no heavy items, including exercise equipment
- no pegs and stakes
- no tables and chairs
- no vehicles, including cars and bikes
As the West Epping sporting complex is located within a residential area, noise must be kept to a minimum when accessing or leaving the site to respect our neighbours.
Footwear
Recommended
Moulded studs or dimpled astroturf trainers.
Prohibited
Metal studs
Not recommended
Flat soled trainers as they flatten the synthetic grass, causing long-term damage.
