Beetle - Even the smallest voices matter
Join the adventures of Sally and her backyard friend as they set out in search of the now elusive Christmas Beetle. Encounter larger than life beetles, stick insects and other critters in this charming and uniquely Australian Show.
Beetle is brought to life through acrobatic-style storytelling, and animations created from original artworks by beloved children’s author and illustrator Freya Blackwood.
It’s a tale of resilience and hope, our connection to the natural world, and a reminder that even the smallest voices matter.
On at PHIVE, 5 Parramatta Square.

Production
Beetle is produced by Legs On The Wall who have been sharing contemporary stories through spectacularly daring public art for some 40 years. Conscious of their trailblazing legacy and led by Artistic Director Joshua Thomson and Associate Artist Vicki Van Hout, Legs remains a forward-facing company propelled by their mission: to make meaning in a rapidly changing world through transformative physical theatre.
Legs' performances incorporate dance, the enchantment of circus and the expression of theatre. Routinely reimagining what's possible in the conventional auditorium they are known for breaking through language barriers, bringing excitement, wonder, humour and gravitas to public spaces.
