Looking at ways to reduce waste, learn a new skill and impress your friends with
beautifully wrapped gifts? Come along to this fun workshop to learn the ancient art of
Furoshiki, with artist Yoshiko Ito.
Furoshiki are traditional Japanese cloths used to wrap and transport items such as bottles and lunchboxes, and are becoming an increasingly popular eco friendly and versatile alternative for gift wrapping. Yoshiko will share the rich history of Furoshiki as well as demonstrate some of the different methods of wrapping. You will be given the opportunity to practice, as well as take 2 cloths home with you to master the craft.
