This year’s Make Music Day celebration will take the form of a Youth Battle of the Bands titled ‘Best of the West’.
Are you a high school artist or band and want to make your mark in the live music scene? This is your chance to show us what you’ve got!
Make Music Day is a free world-wide music celebration held annually on June 21. This year, City of Parramatta is excited to present ‘Best of the West’, a youth battle of the bands showcasing the best of Western Sydney’s young and local talent.
From the 6 finalists performing at the event, a winner will be chosen on the day and will be awarded:
- A recording session with a Western Sydney producer
- A performance at Parramatta Lanes 2024
To apply, you must simply:
- Be under the age of 18 and enrolled in a high school from Western Sydney
- Submit your name, age, school, blurb and an original track to acurnow@cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au by 9pm Monday 3 June
- Be available to perform at Best of the West on June 21
