Parramatta Artists Studios has supported hundreds of artists since 2006. Artists from all stages of their careers and working across diverse artforms use the supported studio spaces in Rydalmere and Granville to develop new work and experiment.  PAS artists are chosen through an application process and represent a cross-section of Western Sydney and Greater Sydney communities.

What kind of artists do you support?

PAS programs and studio residencies are open to artists from any artform. Including, but not limited to: painting, filmmaking, writing, sculpture, performance, installation, ceramics and beyond. Artists from any stage in their career are welcome to apply for PAS Granville, and PAS Rydalmere supports mid-career artists.

Do I have to live in the City of Parramatta to have a studio?

No. PAS studios are open to artists who live in Western Sydney and Greater Sydney. Interstate and NSW regional artists are welcome to apply if they plan to live in Sydney during their residency.

How do you select the artists in the studio programs?

Studio artists are selected through an annual application process. A panel of external and internal assessors score each application and meet to discuss and decide the final selections.
