Emma Pham

PAS Granville

Emma Pham is an artist based on unceded Dharug and Dharawal lands in South-West Sydney. Emma’s practice explores personal storytelling through game-inspired video work and digital animation. Using nostalgia as a whimsical point of departure, her practice explores the manifold complexities of reconciling with our past selves and inherited histories. 

Approaching storytelling through the pixel art aesthetic of 2000s game graphics, Emma’s work reconnects with the personal and cultural in ways that are playful, immersive and experimental. By traversing memory, their practice helps them make sense of their roots while simultaneously creating space for ongoing self-invention. Emma’s work has been exhibited at the Powerhouse (2022) and Pari (2023). Her work has also been commissioned by Runway Journal (2023) for Issue 47: MMORPG and Fairfield City Museum and Galleries (2025) for the Garden of Joy event.
