Submissions on Development Applications

Council often notifies property owners that it has received a development application seeking changes at a neighbouring or nearby property. 

These notifications take place in line with Council’s Community Engagement Strategy. 

During a set notification period, neighbouring property owners (and in fact any person) can lodge a submission in response to the development application. 

These submissions are considered before the application is determined. These submissions can either be in support, or object to, the application.  

This webpage provides useful information for community members to help them prepare and lodge submissions, and to understand how their submission will be processed and used.
