Lake Parramatta Reserve Visitor Guide

Completed in 1856, the Lake Parramatta reservoir was the first large dam built in Australia. It was made of sandstone blocks quarried onsite as seen today from the Dam Wall Lookout.

Citizen science projects allow anyone to contribute to deepening our understanding of the natural world. Participating in a citizen science project is fun and no special skills or knowledge are required. Observations can be made at any time, night or day throughout the day, week or year(s).
