Application Requirements

Council is responsible for assessing development applications (other than State Significant applications). 

Please follow the steps below to lodge your development application with Council.

Check the planning relevant planning controls

Your application will be expected to identify and satisfy the relevant planning controls and policies, including State and local controls.

Some NSW Government State Environmental Planning Policies (SEPPs) supersede Council’s controls, and can be found here

Prepare the mandatory information and forms

Information with respect to documents and forms that need to be provided with the development application can be found below.  

If you are proposing any easements downstream of your property for storm water drainage, Council will also require the consent of the owner/owners of that property as per the attached form below.

Lodge the application through the NSW Planning Portal

Council accepts development applications (including modifications, Section 8.3 Review Applications and Subdivision Certificate Applications) through the NSW Planning Portal.  

The required forms and documents need to be uploaded, by the applicant, to the portal.
