ANZAC Day

A soldier in uniform holds a flag solemnly beside an illuminated war memorial inscribed with names. The setting is at night, creating a respectful and reflective atmosphere.

ANZAC Day is observed nationally each year on 25 April commemorating the landing of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) troops on the Gallipoli peninsula in Turkey during World War I, in 1915.

The importance of ANZAC Day goes beyond the anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli, it is a day of remembrance for all Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations since that time. It is also an occasion to honour the courage, endurance, and sacrifice of those who have served their countries.
