International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is held on 3 December each year.

IDPwD is a United Nations observed day and is marked by City of Parramatta Council each year. Acknowledgement and celebration of IDPwD is a Council commitment under the Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2022-2026.  Council’s Disability Inclusion Action Plans are all designed to contribute to our vision for an accessible and inclusive Parramatta, where people with disability can develop their potential and participate in community life as equal community members.

Visit the Disability Inclusion Action Plan’s dedicated webpage for further information.

Council has a number of IDPwD activities planned for Council staff to raise awareness and understanding around disability and inclusion. IDPwD events for the community are also on offer in the weeks leading up to and after 3 December, with details provided below.
