Street Activity and Events

Council encourages public domain activities and events which provide a great experience for the City of Parramatta’s residents, visitors and workers.

The public domain includes streets, footpaths, laneways, malls, squares and Council car parks. 

Individuals, organisations and businesses may apply to offer an activity in a wide range of categories including busking, food vending and outdoor dining.

How to apply for a street activity or event

Below are the steps to apply for a street activity or event.

  1. Read the guidelines
  2. Investigate the possible fees in Council’s fees and charges schedule  
  3. Fill out the application form
  4. If your application is successful, Council will ask for the fee payment
  5. You can hold your activity or event in line with the approval conditions.
