In the heart of Parramatta’s CBD is Parramatta Square - a world-leading urban space providing wide-ranging benefits for people visiting, or working or studying in, our vibrant city.
Together with the adjacent Centenary Square, Parramatta Square has 12,000sqm of car-free public domain bordered by Parramatta’s rail and bus interchange, the Parramatta Light Rail line and the future Sydney Metro West station.

Parramatta Town Hall
One of Parramatta’s most-loved landmarks, Parramatta Town Hall, reopened its doors in 2023 after an extensive restoration.
The newly upgraded Parramatta Town Hall houses an inspiring selection of heritage and contemporary event spaces for meetings, celebrations, presentations and more.
This 1883 heritage beauty now features new state-of-the-art audio visual and lighting features, a commercial prep kitchen, a passenger lift to the upper level and a contemporary light-filled glass atrium overlooking Parramatta Square.

Parramatta Square is home to around 24,000 workers each day, making it one of Australia’s leading commercial precincts.

Parramatta Square history and management
Towards the end of the 20th century, plans were made to redevelop what was the former Civic Place into Parramatta Square, with the precinct’s first new building opening in 2009.
