Cox Park is a spacious and well-equipped reserve featuring a playground, playing fields, open grassy areas, bushland, an amenities building, and a secret garden tucked away for visitors to discover.
History
Lieutenant William Cox (1764–1837), a military officer and renowned road builder during the early colonial period, acquired large areas of land in the surrounding region to expand the nearby Brush Farm estate. The reserve now occupies part of the original 21-acre landholding that was later subdivided among Cox’s sons.
