Heritage Funding
Through the Local Heritage Fund, Council offers small grants to the owners of heritage items and properties within Heritage Conservation Areas (HCAs) to encourage work that will improve heritage value.
Funding applications for conservation and maintenance work are presented to, and assessed by, Council’s Heritage Advisory Panel.
The Local Heritage Fund typically supports maintenance works or the like-for-like reinstatement of missing original features, such as front fences, verandahs, roofing and decorative details.

Fund limits are to 25% of the value of the work, up to a maximum of $5,000.
Discretionary payments up to $10,000, at a ratio of 50%, may be made where work must be completed urgently to prevent serious or irreparable damage or deterioration to a heritage property, and is subject to the provision of a detailed report by a suitably qualified expert.
