The East Epping Heritage Conservation Area Street Tree Planting Program is being funded through community action.
Planting is planned to begin late-February 2023 and is expected to be completed by 30 June (subject to weather).
New street tree species were selected to reflect the heritage of the area. Consideration was also given to ensure suitability of tree types for the Council-owned nature strip locations with site constraints including:
- proximity to overhead services
- available soil space
- species’ relationship to the East Epping Heritage Area location.
Ongoing care and maintenance will be conducted by Council’s contractors for four (4) months after planting.
City of Parramatta hopes residents will enjoy and care for these new and special street trees.
