Eric Primrose Reserve

Eric Primrose Reserve is a scenic riverside reserve located along the Parramatta River between Silverwater Bridge and the Rydalmere Ferry Wharf. 

The Parramatta Valley Cycleway runs through the reserve, making it a popular destination for walking and cycling. A barbecue area is located closer to the ferry wharf, offering a relaxed spot to enjoy the river outlook.

Near Silverwater Bridge, the reserve features two sporting fields, which are used for football during the winter season.

History

Eric Mobbs MBE (23.11.1891 - 04.10.1974) was the first mayor of Parramatta after it had been newly constituted. Before that he was Mayor of Dundas prior to the amalgamation. Apart from the MBE, Mr Mobbs received the Silver Jubilee Medal and the Coronation Medal for his community work.
