In response to the NSW Government’s staged easing of COVID-19 restrictions, Council is reopening the Parramatta Heritage and Visitor Information Centre on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am–2pm. There will be a limit of 20 customers in this facility at any one time.

City of Parramatta's Heritage Centre provides a comprehensive introduction to our City - a destination with a vibrant and innovative culture and heritage. The Centre holds archives dating back to 1860, access to library books, and pamphlets and journals relating to the development of the Parramatta Local Government Area, plus primary resources relating to Parramatta and Western Sydney. Our services include:
- visitor information on exhibitions, events and educational programs
- Local Studies and Family History Library
- Heritage Collections Online, including archives and a searchable database of our cultural collections
- Heritage Centre Research Services, including archival information, the Local Studies Library, Cultural Collections and blog entries on Parramatta's heritage.
