About Councillor Cameron MacLean

Councillor Cameron MacLean served as Deputy Lord Mayor from June 2023 - September 2023, and was first elected to the City of Parramatta Council in December 2021. He represents the Epping Ward.

Born and raised in Epping, Cameron is a former student of Epping Public School and Epping Boys High School. He has graduated with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Economics and Applied Finance at Western Sydney University.

Cameron is passionate about improving the provision of creative arts and live entertainment, open spaces and youth services in the City, as well as preserving the character and streetscape of the Epping Ward and City of Parramatta at large.

As a lifelong local resident, Cameron has been swimming at Epping Pool all his life so the construction of a new pool is one of his highest priorities for the area. The future of the pool is of great interest and concern to Cameron and the local community, and he will continue to work for the best outcomes for current and future residents.

Cameron is committed to advocating for appropriate development as the City of Parramatta grows and ensuring that infrastructure and green space is a priority.

Cameron hopes to be able to examine Council’s services and activities through the lens of his vision impairment and youth in order to achieve the greatest accessibility and engagement across the entire community.

Cameron looks forward to working with and for the community during his time on Council.
