Doyle Ground Playground and green space

Parramatta’s largest sportsgound Doyle Ground features four large sporting fields used by a variety of sporting clubs, schools and community groups.

In winter the ground is used for hockey, AFL and touch football. In summer it is used for cricket and touch football.

History

Cecil Howe Doyle (1870-1958) was a wool broker and attended The Kings School. As a visionary and generous supporter of many charities, he purchased a large portion of land within the current Doyle Ground for the future sporting needs of The Kings School.

Parking

Street parking is available on Fennel, Macarthur and Buller streets, which all border the ground.

Playspace

A skill and sensory-based playspace most suited to 0 to 12 age group.

The fenced playspace features:

  • rope bridge
  • balance beam
  • shade sail

The playspace is on the Fennel Street end of the park. Please note that mind the toilets are located at the northern end by Macarthur Street.
