Eric Primrose Reserve

City of Parramatta playgrounds and skate parks are temporarily closed.  This decision was made in response to the current circumstances presented by Coronavirus (COVID-19). Visit City of Parramatta's COVID-19 webpage for the latest information. 

While Council’s playgrounds, outdoor gym equipment and skate facilities are now closed in response to the COVID-19 situation; outdoor green spaces such as Council’s parks and reserves remain open. The public are welcome to exercise in these spaces while adhering to social distancing measures. 

LOCATION  86 John Street, Rydalmere NSW

GETTING THERE - There are car parks available along John Street servicing the sporting fields, playspace and ferry wharf.

PARK DETAILS - Located along Parramatta River between Silverwater Bridge and Rydalmere Ferry Wharf is this great reserve. The Parramatta Valley Cycleway runs along the reserve which also features a barbecue area closer to the ferry wharf. 

The two sporting fields are located closer to Silverwater Bridge. During winter the ground is used for football. 

FACILITIES AVAILABLE - Eric Primrose Reserve features the following amenities:

  • Local playspace
  • Car Park
  • Outdoor exercise equipment
  • Cycleway and walking paths
  • Refillable water stations
  • Barbecue and picnic facilities

PLAYSPACE -  A skill based and sensory playspace most suited to 0 to 5 age group. The space features swings, climbing wall, spring rocket and bike and scooter track. The playspace has a shade sail. It is located along John St with the closest intersection at Nowill Street.
