While Council’s playgrounds, outdoor gym equipment and skate facilities are now closed in response to the COVID-19 situation; outdoor green spaces such as Council’s parks and reserves remain open. The public are welcome to exercise in these spaces while adhering to social distancing measures.
LOCATION - Banks Street, Parramatta NSW
GETTING THERE - The car park is available off Banks Street and there is additional street parking available on Lansdowne Street especially if you wish to access field 3.
PARK DETAILS - Located in Parramatta this regularly used sportsground facility has three fields and is located next to Ollie Webb Reserve separated only by Pitt Street. The park has a hall which can be hired out by the community.
Field 1 is used for football. Field 2 is used for football during winter and cricket during summer. Field 3 is used for cricket during summer. Both field 2 and 3 are used for touch football during both seasons. The field 2 cricket pitch is covered during winter.
FACILITIES AVAILABLE - Jones Park features the following amenities:
PLAYSPACE - A skill-based playspace most suited to 0 to 5 age group. The space features monkey bars, noughts and crosses and climbing equipment. The playspace is fenced. It is located at the corner of Banks and Burnett Street.
