City of Parramatta was proud to run Pitch for Good Parramatta 2023, an innovative project providing support to social enterprise organisations. The Pitch For Good Parramatta program ran in partnership with StartSomeGood, a social enterprise which supports early-stage social entrepreneurs to launch and grow their impact initiatives.

The local Parramatta community and supporters of the social enterprise organisations that participated in this year’s Pitch For Good program were not only passionate about making a difference, but they stepped up to contribute to the crowdfunding campaigns, ensuring each social enterprise organisation achieved their goals financial goals! Combined they raised a total of $77,719 and had 202 individual supporters. This amazing result will have the following social enterprise projects come to life in Parramatta and will help lots of people in the community.

The Freedom Hub aims to put an end to modern slavery. They have raised funds to establish a new headquarter in Parramatta. 

CONFIT supports ex-convicts in pursuing careers in personal training to rebuild their lives. They have raised funds to provide employment for a young person transitioning back into the community from our program to work in the CONFIT gym which is launching soon in Parramatta. 

Addventageous: Your Cycling Connections raised funds for their project Moving PARRA Matters, which promotes cycling to work. 
 
Upcycled Tech will provide tech equipment and devices that can be refurbished to improve the lives and well-being of financially and socially disadvantaged migrants and refugees. They raised funds to invest in equipment to scale up their impact in the local area.

Because those in the community were inspired to act and make a pledge, their donations have made a huge impact in Parramatta.
