Swim School

From Monday 31 January 2022, all students aged 12 and over who are enrolled into Dolphins Swim School classes, are required to be fully vaccinated in order to attend their classes.

Please read the Dolphins Swim School Terms & Conditions as well as the COVID-19 Terms & Conditions and Acceptable Proof of COVID Vaccination & Exemption information prior to attending the centre.

We believe swimming is a skill for life. Our programs cater for all ages and abilities, from 6 months old to adults, and all levels in between!

Dolphins Swim School offers a combination of water familiarisation and safety skills in conjunction with efficient stroke development.

We maintain small class sizes to ensure each participant gets the individual attention they require to maximise their aquatic education experience and ongoing development.

Missed lessons

We do not offer make-up lessons. Any missed lessons are forfeited.

Parents can share some special time with their child while learners become familiar with the water through songs, games and activities.

Each child develops their elementary survival and swimming skills.

Clownfish use games and aquatics-based activities to develop awareness and skills in the water.

While this is the first level of swimming without parents, we encourage parents to stay close by during the lesson.

Jellyfish use games and activities to develop water confidence, buoyancy and safety in the water without assistance from a parent for the first time.

Seahorses develop freestyle kicking, long arm paddles and kicking on their backs, as well as learning basic Life Saving Skills.

Octopuses are introduced to freestyle and backstroke arms, as well as breaststroke kick and continue to work on basic Life Saving Skills.

Barracudas refine their freestyle technique by focusing on correct rotational breathing and are introduced to dolphin kick while continuing with Life Saving Skills.

Seals advance their freestyle and backstroke endurance and are introduced to breaststroke and butterfly arms & timing. They also further develop their personal Life Saving Skills.

Catering to the adolescent learner, lessons are designed to develop aquatic confidence and basic swimming strokes. Safety skills are incorporated into each lesson along with basic Life Saving Skills.

Adult Learn to Swim classes provide an opportunity for adults to build their basic water confidence and to refine their swimming strokes. Classes cater for beginners who may have a fear of water, to those who are looking for an opportunity to refine their swimming technique.

Dolphins Swim School prides itself on the quality and experience of our team of instructors and coaches. 

Our instructors and coaches undertake rigorous training in the teaching of specialist skills such as stroke development and are qualified to teach groups with different needs including infants, pre-schoolers, adults and people with disabilities.

Our team regularly participates in training and professional development to ensure that they remain current with the latest trends in aquatic education.

AUSTSWIM Accredited Swim School

We are an AUSTSWIM Accredited Swim School.

All of our team members hold a current AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia or Royal Life Saving Swim Teacher Licence and CPR qualifications.

AUSTSWIM is Australia’s national organisation for the teaching of swimming and water safety. 

In addition, all Dolphins Swim School staff have successfully completed a Working with Children Check through the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian.

Our staff will contact you within 24 hours of receiving the enrolment form to discuss the day, time & level of your enrolment.

You will be required to make the term payment over the phone using either a debit or credit card.

Epping Aquatic Centre and Macarthur Girls High School Pool

From 01 August 2022, our fees are as follows:

  • Child: $18.40 per lesson payable by the swim school term
  • Adult: $18.40 per lesson payable by the swim school term
  • Private: $70.90 per 30 minutes

Fees are valid to 30 June 2023.
