Installation of ‘No Stopping 2:30pm-4:00pm School Days’ restriction in Kent Street, Epping
A 21m long ‘No Stopping 2:30pm-4:00pm School Days’ restriction will be installed on the east side of Kent Street, south of Wycombe Street (as shown in the attached sketch).
Purpose
During afternoon school peak hours, vehicles are being parked on both sides of Kent Street. As a result, a single travel lane becomes available for 2-way traffic movements, resulting in traffic congestion within the street. This restriction will maintain 2-way traffic movement during afternoon school peak hours and will improve traffic flow in Kent Street.
It is anticipated that the signs will be installed by the start of Term 3 2024.
Remember, road rules are in place to protect all road users including pedestrians, and all motorists are expected to always follow the road rules.
