NSW Health service also offers free telephone based health coaching that can provide you with the support and motivation you need to reach your own healthy lifestyle goals.
Healthy snack and lunch ideas for children
Looking for information on providing health snacks and lunch ideas that kids will love? In this workshop for parents/ caregivers of school aged children, we’ll show you how to pack a healthy lunch box to help meet you children’s nutritional needs.

Tips for healthy eating – try one and see how you go!
- Start your day with breakfast.
- Carry a water bottle to drink more water.
- Take fruit, nuts and crackers for snacks on the go.
- Switch a sugary drink to water.
- Are you ordering food? Try to swap to a healthier option. Swap fries for roast potatoes or salad. Swap the sausage roll for a cheese and tomato toastie.
