ITT 39/2021 Ermington Community Centre, Library and Carpark Accessibility Upgrade Works

ABOUT THE COUNCIL:

The City of Parramatta Council is located 24 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD and provides a range of goods and services within a local government area (LGA) encompassing some 84 square kilometres and comprises a population of approximately 260,296 people from a range of diverse cultures, lifestyles and experiences

ABOUT THE TENDER:

Council is inviting Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced building contractors for internal refurbishment work at Ermington Community Centre, Library and Carpark Accessibility Upgrade Works at 6 River Road, Ermington.
The work will be delivered in two milestones.  The scope of work includes but is not limited to;

Milestone 1 – Ermington Library;
1)    Demolish existing linings, doors, walls, tiles and fixtures in the accessible toilet and staff toilet and including Hazardous Materials.  
2)    Remove existing rainwater head, box gutters and make new penetration to the masonry parapet.
3)    Install new stainless steel rainwater head, box gutter and flashing.
4)    Construct new staff ambulant toilet and unisex public accessible toilet.

Milestone 2 – Ermington Community Centre and Carpark
1)    Demolish existing planter bed, retaining walls, ramp, foundation wall, footing and handrails.
2)    Demolish all external tiles and screed to receive new works.
3)    Internal demolitions of Hazardous Materials and surface preparation for new works.
4)    Relocation of the existing fire hose reel.
5)    Remove existing storeroom and construct accessible, male and female toilets.
6)    Replace all existing high-level windows, including soffit lining above windows. 
7)    Install new lighting and ceiling.
8)    Construct a concrete ramp and glazed brick under the ramp.
9)    Repair existing concrete path and regrade existing asphalt.
10)    Modify existing kerb for new parking bays and reline marking and whee-stop.

A final decision will be made regarding this Tender in June 2022, with works anticipated to commence in July 2022.  The Tender price is for a fixed lump sum.

A non-mandatory pre-tender meeting is proposed on Monday, 21 March 2022, between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm at Ermington Community Centre, 6 River Road, Ermington.
