Located at 161 Balaka Drive, Carlingford, John Wearn Reserve is a vibrant district park. Following a $5.2 million upgrade, the reserve now offers a wide range of recreational features for all ages, incuding:

  • Safari-themed playground with animal sculptures and interactive sound elements
  • Skate park
  • Multi-use sports courts
  • Amphitheatre with stage
  • Fenced dog park with separate areas for small and large dogs
  • Outdoor exercise equipment
  • Picnic shelters, BBQs, and toilet facilities

History

John Macquarie Wearn (1935-1986) was an active member of Carlingford Rotary and contributed significantly to the local community.
