Community Recycling Centre (CRC)
Got old batteries, paint or gas bottles that you can’t put in your household bin? Our brand-new Community Recycling Centre (CRC) is making it easier to recycle. Bring your problem waste to our free, permanent drop-off spot in North Parramatta. Together we can keep our city clean, safe, and green.
By using the CRC, you’ll make sure your unwanted items are recycled or disposed of the right way. That means less landfill, more recycling and a healthier environment for everyone. Every visit helps conserve energy, reduce pollution, and protect valuable resources.

How to prepare for your visit
Sort your waste before you leave home
- Group your items by category (e.g., all batteries together, all paint cans together).
- Remove any non-recyclable packaging and ensure only accepted items are included.
- Sorting at home makes drop-off faster and safer for everyone.
Prepare and secure your items
- Make sure all lids are tightly sealed to prevent leaks or spills.
- Place items upright in sturdy containers or boxes.
- Store waste securely in your car boot to prevent tipping or breakage during transport.
- Protect your vehicle by using a tray or sheet under the items.
Visit frequently with smaller loads
- Regular, smaller drop-offs are safer and easier to manage than storing large amounts at home.
- Frequent visits help prevent illegal dumping and reduce household hazards.
