Natural Skincare workshop on Zoom

Join this workshop to learn how to take care of your body by making your own, natural skin- and haircare products from common pantry items, fruit and plants grown in your garden. 

Creams, toothpaste, lip balms, shampoos – all can be made at home and the final products will be gentle on your skin. Being able to make natural skincare products is important if you want to avoid exposure to harmful agents present in commercial products! 

During the session you will see live demonstrations on making a basic cream and lip balm and will have an opportunity to ask questions. After the workshop you will also receive recipes for making several skincare products.

Soap Making and Herbal Spa

Natural, homemade soap is safe for your skin and whole body. What’s more, not only it is very cheap, you also do not create packaging waste. As you can see, soap making is a skill worth learning!

At this workshop you will learn how to make soap at home from culinary oils, lye and garden herbs, using only common kitchen utensils (no need to buy special equipment!). 

Watching a live demo on “cold soap making” method will help you to visualise the practical part of the process. Afterwards, there will be a Q&A session to answer your questions. 

Following the workshop all participants will receive detailed soap making instructions discussed during the workshop.

Herbal Medicine

The tradition of herbal lore is coming back, why don't you join us and learn more about it? From calming tisanes, strengthening tinctures and throat gargles to burn gels and bruises ointments, herbs should be included in a first aid kit at every home.

This online workshop will start with a talk on the properties of the healing herbs which can be easily grown in Sydney gardens and used to treat common health problems. Following will be a live demo where you will see how to make a medicinal ointment and set up a jar of headache tincture.

A summary of the talk and instructions on making the demonstrated products will be emailed to all attendees.

Green Cleaning

Do you know you that instead of harmful chemicals you can use natural, biodegradable substances as cleaning aids to make your home clean and safe? What's even better, most of these ingredients are already in your pantry!

This workshop will provide you with information about household items suitable for natural cleaning and how to use them. The session will also include a live demo on making a universal cleaner and setting up a jar of cleaning vinegar made by fermenting fresh fruit and vegetable scraps. 

After the workshop the participants will receive a summary of the talk and recipes for making some of the cleaning aids.
