Parramatta Artists' Studios: Studio and Artist-in-Residence Applications

In response to the current circumstances presented by COVID-19, many events, services and facilities have been cancelled, postponed or closed.  City of Parramatta puts the safety of residents and visitors first. This decision has been made in the interest of public safety and in line with the advice provided by State and Federal authorities.

The energetic home for creative production in the centre of Western Sydney, Parramatta Artists’ Studios (PAS) has supported hundreds of artists since opening in 2006. PAS provides a supportive studio environment for artists to develop their practices, whilst also connecting them with a community of peers and arts professionals.

2020 Studio applications are closed

The Parramatta Artists' Studios studio program offers studios to artists from Parramatta, Western Sydney and Greater Sydney.

The program supports artists from diverse practices and across career stages and caters to artists’ careers by identifying opportunities for professional development, presentation of work and networking. 

Thirteen studios between 15 to 35 square metres are available for tenures of 6 or 12 months. All studios are discrete lockable spaces with good natural light and fluorescent lighting. A subsidised monthly rental fee is payable. Within the studio facility is a space for delivering workshops, a small exhibition area, communal kitchen and dining area. 

Applications for the 2020 studio tenancies have now closed. Applications for the 2021 studio tenancies will open in late 2020.

The Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program of Parramatta Artists’ Studios (PAS) offers a residential apartment and studio space to artists from outside of Sydney, Australia.

The program supports artists from diverse practices a.nd across career stages and cultivates a supportive environment for artists to progress their careers
