Maintenance and Rehabilitation

City of Parramatta has developed Waterways Maintenance and Rehabilitation Masterplans (WMRM's) to coordinate upkeep and restoration programs for waterways in our local area. The WMRM's aim to maintain the ecological integrity of the systems while increasing access and recognising the need to manage flooding and heritage issues. Projects undertaken

  • Toongabbie Creek: Goliath Avenue and Edison Parade, Winston Hills, construction of erosion protection to 7 stormwater outlets
  • Toongabbie Creek: Sue Savage Reserve, Toongabbie, riparian revegetation
  • Vineyard Creek: Wesley Street, Oatlands and Rock Farm Avenue, Telopea, construction of erosion protection to 4 stormwater outlets
  • Vineyard Creek: Wyuna Place and Tulong Avenue, Oatlands, riparian revegetation
  • Quarry Branch Creek: Impeesa Reserve, drainage line rehabilitation
  • Quarry Branch Creek: John Curtin Reserve/Moxham Park, targeted riparian weed removal
  • Ponds Creek: Rumsey Crescent, Dundas, riparian revegetation
  • Ponds Creek: Fitzgerald Forest, Carlingford
  • Subiaco Creek: Moffatts Dr, Dundas Valley
  • Terrys Creek: Mobbs Lane, Epping
