Ross Street opposite Trott Street, Parramatta (outside Our Lady of Mercy College)
At the request of Our Lady of Mercy College, the following proposal has been reviewed and approved through Council’s Delegated Authority process
- That the length of the existing ‘Bus Zone 8:30am - 9:30am, 2:30pm - 4pm School Days’ restriction located on the south side of Ross Street opposite Trott Street, Parramatta (outside Our Lady of Mercy College) be extended east by 18m within the ‘No Parking 8am-9:30am, 2:30pm - 4pm School Days’ restriction (as shown in the attached sketch).
Note that the existing ‘4P Ticket 9:30am - 2:30pm, 4pm - 6pm Mon-Fri 8am - 6pm Sat’ restriction will remain as it is.
Purpose:
The purpose of the restriction is to provide school buses with kerbside parking so they do not queue on travel lanes and cause traffic congestion on Ross Street.
It is anticipated that the signs will be installed in September.
Remember, road rules are in place to protect all road users including pedestrians, and all motorists are expected to always follow the road rules.
