City of Parramatta is bringing some of Hollywood’s biggest hits to the big screen in local parks with five nights of free family entertainment this April.

City of Parramatta is inviting residents to have their say on proposed changes to planning controls for 263-281 Pennant Hills Road, Carlingford (formerly known as 263-273 Pennant Hills Road and 18 Shirley Street).

On-street parking meters in the Parramatta’s CBD will be cashless from April 1 with workers, students and visitors who travel to the CBD set to benefit from a more streamlined parking payment system – no need to look for loose change, just wave and pay.

Parramatta is set to become an even more active City with plans for three pedestrian and cyclist projects - Bennelong Parkway Bridge and Paths, Toongabbie to Westmead Corridor, and Wilderline to Duck River Paths - going on public exhibition next week.

Draft Parramatta City Centre Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan 2022 Amendment No. 3

Hundreds of species could be identified as Parramatta becomes one of the first NSW councils to use new Environmental DNA (eDNA) testing as part of its biological survey of waterways to improve its local biodiversity.

New footpaths, bike paths, safer crossings, street trees and upgraded lighting are set to increase the connectivity, amenity and safety for the community with works on Alfred Street Pedestrian and Cyclist Upgrade Stage 2A to begin this month.

Council provides monetary grants to owners of heritage listed items and properties in heritage conservation areas for completed conservation or maintenance works that will improve the heritage value of their property.
