PAS Open is a series of short-term residency projects that take place both online and on-site across Western Sydney. Parramatta Artists’ Studios recently welcomed our new PAS Open digital residency artists - Amala Groom, Hossein, Maissa Alameddine, Feras Shaheen, Lu Forsberg and Celine Cheung.

2022 Parramatta Artists' Studios Open On-Site Residency Have Now Closed

Our PAS Open On-Site Residencies includes four shorter-term on-site residencies held with partner organisations, Powerhouse Castle Hill, Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library, and the Writing and Society Research Centre at Western Sydney University.

What is the PAS Open On-Site Residency?

PAS Open on-site residencies support artists to:

    • Undertake self-directed research or create new work
    • Deliver a talk about their project or practice at the end of their residency period
    • Deliver a public program in collaboration with PAS or partner organisations (for an additional fee)

PAS Open on-site artists will be supported by:

    • Regular meetings with a mentor (the mentor can be nominated by the artist or paired by PAS)
    • Support from the PAS team
    • A community of peers through PAS Open Together
    • Fully subsidised studio space at our partner organisation for four weeks
    • A residency fee of $4,000

Each residency has a theme/topic that artists will be asked to respond to in their application.

    PAS Open Together Program
