About Parramatta Artists' Studios

Parramatta Artists' Studios (PAS) is the energetic home for creative production in Western Sydney. Our focus is on what happens in and around the studio space to develop critical artistic practice. We nurture ideas and experimentation. We support artists to take risks and share studio conversations and processes. We work to establish or build on peer and professional communities. We believe in empowering and equipping artists to build thriving and sustainable creative lives.

We have supported hundreds of artists since opening in 2006 and have a growing community of alumni who are at the forefront of contemporary artistic practice in Australia. Through our supported studio facilities in Parramatta and Rydalmere we offer subsidised studio tenancy programs, career development programs, residency programs and community-connected programs.

2021-2022 Parramatta Artists' Studios Open

PAS Open is a series of short-term residency projects that take place both online and across the Parramatta local government area. In addition to the residencies each artist involved in the program will benefit from a tailored professional development program.

The PAS Open program will be delivered in two parts, the PAS Open Digital Residencies (now closed) and the PAS Open On-Site Residencies (coming soon).

Parramatta Artists’ Studios recently welcomed our new PAS Open digital residency artists - Amala Groom, Hossein Ghaemi, Maissa Alameddine, Feras Shaheen, Lu Forsberg and Celine Cheung. This group of artists will soon be joined by the PAS Open on-site residency artists when they come on board in early 2022.

Please check back soon to find out more about the PAS Open On-Site Residencies.
