A Local Environmental Plan (LEP) is a legislative framework guiding the development of land in a local government area through land use zones and development controls. A LEP consists of a written instrument and a series of maps.
The current LEP that applies to Parramatta (the former Parramatta Local Government Area) is the Parramatta LEP 2011.
A Planning Proposal (also known as a rezoning application) is a request to change a LEP.
Fees applicable to Planning Proposals are set out on page 85 of Schedule of Fees & Charges.
If you wish to apply for a planning proposal, please complete the Planning Proposal application form.
If you would like to discuss a Planning Proposal in the first instance, please contact Council's Land Use Planning Team on 9806 5050.
