Important Information
We are committed to ensuring that all participants can effectively engage in Active Parramatta programming.
In addition, please be advised:
- Registrations are essential to participate, and in some cases, additional waivers are required.
- Parents/Guardians must provide true and accurate information regarding their child/ren age and date of birth. Failure to do so may result in your child being unable to participate in the class.
- If you are on the waiting list and wish to attend the session to see if a spot becomes available, you are doing so at your own risk and need to understand that we may not be able to accommodate your child's involvement in the class.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for communicating any medical disabilities prior to participating, along with any pre-existing injuries or allergies in the checklist upon registering for classes.
- A responsible parent/guardian must be present on site whilst their child/children are participating. This ensures that the appropriate level of care and support can be provided for everyone involved.
- Parents/guardians enrol their child/ren at their own risk.
- Spaces are limited. All bookings must be made via Bookable and will be “first in, best dressed.” If your circumstances change and you are no longer able to attend, you MUST cancel via Bookable as soon as you know you are unable to attend.
- We understand plans change and while our programs are free, we ask that you consider your other children looking to participate. Consistently failing to attend pre-booked classes can result in your bookings for the remainder of the program being cancelled and your exclusion from booking the following holiday period.
How to cancel your booking:
- Log in to bookable
- Go to My account (Top Right of Screen)
- Find the event you wish to cancel and click on the event name.
- In the middle of the screen, click cancel order or cancel ticket.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an age limit?
Participants must be booked into classes that match their age and abilities, as specified in the class title. This ensures a better experience and meets supervision and insurance requirements of our supporting organisations.
The City of Parramatta reserves the right to cancel any bookings that are made in the incorrect age group. Providing false information regarding your child's age and date of birth in the booking may result in the participant being unable to join the class. This action puts the holiday program and insurance at significant risk.
Is drop-off available?
No, parents/carers must stay and spectate. They can work onsite or participate in activities with their children. Our providers and council staff are not accredited childcare minders, and our program is not designed to be a child-minding service.
What to bring?
Equipment is provided, but bring sunscreen, a hat, a water bottle, and ensure children wear suitable clothing and closed shoes.
Can I book multiple back-to-back sessions?
No, due to high demand, only one session per child/family is allowed to ensure broader participation. Any back-to-back bookings will be cancelled to allow for a greater chance for everyone to participate in our activities
I’m on the waiting list; can I still attend the class?
A valid confirmed registration is required to attend classes. If you are on the waiting list and decide to bring your child/ren down to see if there are families who are registered that do not attend, you will be doing so at your own risk as we are will not be able to guarantee a position will become available.
Do classes run during bad weather?
Outdoor classes generally do not run in wet weather, where possible we will try to book an alternate indoor venue. If there are changes to the schedule parents will receive notification via email and text message so, please make sure your information is correct at the time of the booking.
