John Curtin Reserve

Playground with a slide, colourful climbing spheres, and a basketball court among tall trees. A ramp leads to a nearby building, creating a playful, serene atmosphere.

Located in Winston Hills, this lovely park is surrounded by bushland and natural areas making it a popular reserve for the local community. The park has a meeting room which can be hired for meetings or social gatherings, as well as a playground, modified basketball court, cricket nets, BBQ and picnic tables. 

History

The reserve is named after John Curtin (8 January 1885 – 5 July 1945) who was an Australian politician who served as the nation’s 14th Prime Minister, leading the country from 1941 until his death in 1945. Curtin is widely regarded as one of the country’s greatest leaders, particularly for his role in guiding Australia through the majority of World War II. 

Parking

The car park is off Dodson Crescent.

There is also street parking on Huxley Drive which is closest to the playspace or BBQs.
