City of Parramatta celebrates National Tree Day

This year to celebrate National Tree Day, Council will host a series of seven community-planting events, where locals are invited to plant native trees, shrubs and groundcovers. 

This series of events will kick off on 5 June for World Environment Day and conclude with the final events held on National Tree Day, 1 August.

The goal is to host 350 volunteers across these events and to install 5,250 plants. All attendees are required to register in order to keep track of attendance numbers. 

Events will take place at Upjohn Park North - Reserve at 71 Ulm Street in Ermington on the below dates.

Event dates: 

  • Saturday 5 June 2021, World Environment Day
    • Event 1: 9:30am - 11:00am
       
  • Monday 21 June 2021     
    • Event 2: 9:30am - 11:00am 
    • Event 3: 11:30am - 1:00pm
       
  • Monday 5 July 2021 
    • Event 4: 9:30am - 11:00am
    • Event 5: 11.30am - 1:00pm
       
  • Sunday 1 August 2021, Official National Tree Day
    • Event 6: 9:30am - 11:00am
    • Event 7: 11:30am - 1:00pm


A COVID-safe plan for each event has been developed to ensure these events comply with NSW Government restrictions.
