City of Parramatta aims to protect and enhance the natural and built environment of the Parramatta Local Government Area (LGA) by managing development using Local and State Government legislation, and Council’s own strategies and policies. There are different levels of legislation and plans that guide us in making decisions in regards to development.
Local Environmental Plans
Local Environmental Plans (LEPs) provide the framework for planning in the City. Planning controls for the new City of Parramatta area will be consolidated after the new council is elected in 2017. In the interim, LEP controls maps and controls for your area may be accessed below:
- Auburn Local Environmental Plan 2010
- The Hills Local Environmental Plan 2012
- Holroyd Local Environmental Plan 2013
- Hornsby Local Environmental Plan 2013
- Parramatta Local Environmental Plan 2011
You can also view planning controls for land in the former Parramatta City Council area via My Development.
All planning proposals and development applications for land now located in City of Parramatta should be lodged with City.
