ABOUT THE COUNCIL:

The City of Parramatta Council is located 24 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD and provides a range of goods and services within a local government area (LGA) encompassing some 84 square kilometres and comprises a population of approximately 260,296 people from a range of diverse cultures, lifestyles and experiences

ABOUT THE EOI:  

Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced Head Contractors who have expertise in transformation workplace fitout projects. It is envisaged between three (3) and five (5) construction firms will be short listed to proceed to the second stage for the Invitation to Tender (ITT) for City of Parramatta’s Future Workplace.

A summary of the scope includes: 

•    Design & Construction of an ABW work setting to accommodate Council staff in 4,735       square metres, over 4 levels at 9 Wentworth Street 
•    Delivery of an ABW work setting 
•    Ensure BCA compliance for disability access  
•    Delivery of office furniture and fittings  
•    De-fit 9 Wentworth Street when the incumbent tenant departs (4,735 square metres)  
•    Base building works, including and not limited to:
  • Upgrade of all building services and associated infrastructure
  •    Upgrade of amenities from Ground Floor to Level 6
  •    End of trip facility to be installed in the basement car park  
  •    Lift lobby upgrade from Ground Floor to Level 6
•    Installation of new security systems and access system  
•    IT infrastructure to suit the Organisations specific requirements

Tenderers must have ISO Certified Systems for Work Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Management and Environmental Management to be considered for this tender as well as demonstratable experience of having been the Head Contractor on Design and Construct fitout projects valued at greater than $20 million.

No site inspection is proposed at this stage but is expected to be facilitated for those proponents short listed to stage 2 – the tender.

Those proponents who are short listed to take part in the second stage will not be expected to purchase tender documents again at stage 2.

CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Tenders close at 10.00am Friday the 28th October 2022 and submissions must be fully received by this time. Any action or contact that may be considered as an attempt to influence a decision of Councillors or Staff shall disqualify the relevant proponent. Late, verbal or emailed submissions will not be accepted.
