National Tree Day 2024

National Tree day

National Tree Day is Australia’s largest tree planting and nature-care event! City of Parramatta has held National Tree Day events for the community to come together to improve our natural bushland for over a decade.

Join your local community at this volunteer planting event, where we will plant 10,000 native seedlings at the reserve along Dorahy Street in Dundas.

The vegetation at this reserve is part of the critically endangered Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest community, which is heavily fragmented and has only 0.5% of its original extent remaining intact. The aim of this project is to stabilise the creek line and provide essential habitat for our native wildlife.

Please bring a water bottle, sun protection and wear enclosed shoes (no thongs or sandals). A free BBQ lunch from the Lions Club will be provided to the first 500 volunteers who register on the day.

Registrations are essential. All participants (including children and their caregivers) must be registered to attend.
