Koori Kinnections Aboriginal Cultural Walk June

tour guide showing coal loader

The Dharug people are Parramatta’s first people and traditional custodians of this land. Parramatta’s name derives from the Dharug word “baramada” meaning “the place of the eels”.

Join the friendly Aboriginal presenter on this inspiring walk within Parramatta Park and along the Parramatta River and hear about connections to land, plant uses for food and medicinal purposes, hunting, weaving and other aspects of local culture.

The 90 minute activity is free, however, registrations are required.
